Take a Snapshot

On a Mac:

1. Hold down these three keys at the same time: Apple + shift + 4
   
2. Look at the curser on the screen, it has turned into a crosshair tool.
   
3. Drag the cross hair tool, (your mouse) diagonally across the object you want to snip.
4. Let go. You will hear the snapshot sound.
5. Your snapshot appears on the desktop with the name picture1.png.
6. Rename it.
7. Return to Create an avatar

Take a Snapshot

On a PC:

1. Find the Snipping Tool
   
2. Choose New Snip. In most cases, choose Rectangular Snip
   
3. Look at the curser on the screen, it has turned into a crosshair tool.
   
4. Drag the cross hair tool (your mouse) diagonally across the object you want to snip.
5. Let go.
6. Save your file as a .jpg
7. Return to Create an avatar
